1Who we are

5K&Stay is an independent project run by the passionate parkrunners behind it (referred to here as "we", "us" and "our"). It is not a registered company. You can reach us any time at hello@5kstay.com.

2What 5K&Stay is

5K&Stay is a free information tool. It shows where UK & Ireland parkruns start — using a published (official) pin and, where available, a human-verified start point proposed from public GPS data — and lists nearby places to stay. It's for planning; it doesn't sell anything, take bookings, or require an account.

3Accuracy — please double-check

We work hard to get start points and distances right, but they're best-effort and provided for guidance. Pins are derived from public activity data and human review; distances shown are straight-line, not walking routes; and events can change route, time or location. Always confirm the details on the official parkrun page for that event before you travel, and don't rely on 5K&Stay as your only source. parkruns start at 09:00 across most of the UK but 09:30 in Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland — check the event.

4Booking links & commission

Some "Check availability" links are affiliate links to booking partners (for example Booking.com, via the Commission Junction network). If you book through one we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Once you follow such a link you're on the partner's own website, under their terms and privacy policy — your booking is a contract between you and them. We're not the seller, don't handle your booking, dates or payment, and aren't responsible for their prices, availability or service. Prices and ratings shown on 5K&Stay are indicative; the partner's live figures are what count.

5Not affiliated with parkrun or Strava

5K&Stay is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to parkrun or Strava. Their names and logos are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe the service. We use parkrun's public events feed and public activity data, and never scrape parkrun.com or publish individuals' names, times or activities.

6Using the site fairly

Please don't misuse 5K&Stay: no scraping or bulk-copying the site, no attempts to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to it, and no using it unlawfully or to infringe someone's rights. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time.

7Our content

The 5K&Stay name, design and original content are ours (or used with permission); typefaces are used under the SIL Open Font License. Please don't reproduce the site wholesale. Venue names, addresses and public map data belong to their respective owners and sources.

8No warranty & liability

5K&Stay is provided "as is" and "as available", with no warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of (or inability to use) the site, from reliance on its information, or from anything you book with a third party. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud — and if you're a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

9Changes

We may update these terms as the project grows; the "last updated" date above always shows the current version, and continuing to use the site means you accept the latest terms.

10Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales will have jurisdiction — though if you're a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK or Ireland, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of your home country.
