5K&Stay turns a parkrun into an away-day. We pin the spot your parkrun actually starts from, and show you nearby places to stay with the real walking time to the start — so you know exactly what your Saturday morning looks like. Find your parkrun, find your bed.
The short version

- Human-verified start lines for UK & Ireland parkruns, proposed from public GPS data and checked by a person on satellite imagery.
- Nearby stays with the real walking time to the start, so you're never guessing how far your bed is from the pre-run briefing.
- Always free, no account. We earn a small commission if you book a stay — never a fee to you.
- We give 10% of profits back to parkrun, because it gave us this in the first place.
What we do
Published parkrun coordinates mark the park, not always the exact meeting point. We look at public Strava activity around each event's Saturday start, cluster it to find where runners really gather, and then a person confirms the start line on satellite imagery before it goes live. Every event page shows that pin on a map, along with hotels, B&Bs and apartments ranked by distance to the start.
We cover every parkrun across the UK and Ireland, using only parkrun's own public events feed — we never scrape parkrun.com or publish anyone's individual runs, names or times. This is about run locations, not runners.
Why we built it
Between us we've done a lot of parkrun tourism, and the away-day always came with the same faff: where does it actually start, and where should we stay? Add the classic gotcha — 09:00 across most of the UK, but 09:30 in Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland — and it's surprisingly easy to get a trip wrong. We wanted one place that answered "which parkrun, and which bed" in a single map. So we built it.
How we keep it free
5K&Stay is free to use and carries no adverts. When our booking partnership is live, following a "Check availability" link to a partner (for example Booking.com) and going on to book may earn us a small commission — at no extra cost to you. That, less our pledge to give 10% of profits back to parkrun, is the whole business model. There's more detail on the privacy page.

5K&Stay is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to parkrun or Strava. "parkrun" and "Strava" are trademarks of their respective owners; we use them only to describe what the site is for. Start-point data is derived from public activity information.
